Naples Opera Society - WordPress (after)
Ron Bowman is president of the Naples Opera Society.
Patty Fairweather and Ron Bowman transitioned their site from a NFN Stordyboard Wizard Site to a WordPress site and just went live.
- The Naples Opera Society has employed its webpages for information, but it there was no manner of tracking if the membership was checking the website.
- We hope to communicate more efficiently and in a cost-effective manner with our membership. We believe the blog capability and interactive responses will pull the membership to the new website.
- We have relied on hardcopy newsletters, and the color costs and mailings are expensive. We hope to move to fewer mailings, and rely more on the website for information delivery.
- We want our website to give a broader perspective of the Naples Opera Society for the general public who might luck upon our site.

There are numerous plug-ins that can personalize and dramatize our operatic message.
- Sounds, video, music, all the things that define opera can be better promoted in the WordPress format.
- We like the sophisticated look of the WordPress. It makes us seem more knowledgeable of technology in our communication.
- The simplicity of the Dashboard is helpful.
- The instruction and support of the NFN is wonderful
- There is a WordPress for Dummies book.
